Give Chef a nudge and see if KJB can't organise a South West game sometime - it's been a long while since their last WW2 game and good fun it was too!

It requires a certain DIY attitude to get the ball rolling but to be fair now there are nearly a dozen other folk doing WWII games to various levels of detail (PBI, Gunman, Steiner and Neil, Martin, Taffy & Spiers etc etc) and that initial task is done.

*cough*

KGB have lost the woodland site but have a couple of warehouses now in Camborne. I haven`t been there yet but apparently they`ve built the inside up with bunkers etc.
South West wargames have a few interesting looking venues but I`ve yet to think of a battle involving a beach assault followed by a fort assault ?

Ah yes, forgot that, Rob did tell me too!

The SWWG site looks interesting. Wait, I spy Bollogs & Gucci on their site photos!

Could be an interesting Point du Hoc game there?

They certainly have some interesting sites at their disposal. I'd travel there no question.

if you can do better please feel free, we would love a game thats 100% spot on with no compremise and someone else does all the hard work and expence.

Woah there fella, at no point did I say I could better or even match the PBI / CiA games nor would I ever do so, I'm very much a noob when it comes to running WW2 games and have always clearly stated that fact. I had a good chat with CW this last weekend, and I very much respect his views and opinions,
What I have is a 45 acre woodland site at our disposal in Worthing, it's not a paintball site, it's an airsoft site that we can use for WW2 games. I do try hard now to set our games with research and what little knowledge. The next game I'm involved with is being run by a team from Army group South and I will be learning how to do it better every time we do one.
I'm not wanting to tread on any toes, or upset anybody, I just really enjoy the company and gameplay of most of the WW2 airsofters that I've met and if I can offer some southeners a game then I'm happy to do so.

That's the ticket Jimbo. :good: We (the WW2 community) need a good mix - styles, geographic locations, times of year, scenario, size of games (both site size and player numbers). More is good. For the first year players had no choice but to come to CiA games, now they have the luxury of taking their custom elsewhere!

as commers just said, thats great, i wasnt having a chop, PBI are small and none profit making, we lobby our members for what they want to play. but we are equally happy to play other organisers games . more games means more fun, and more choice.everyone wins.

I`ve been trying to find pics of KGBs new site and came across this, I see the new site hasn`t changed the style of play

Thats the only one I could think of but I`ve just been rooting around in my books and found "Commandos at Dieppe" by Will Fowler. Tells the tale of 4 Commandos` coastal raid on a German battery in `42. Very good book, apparently there were US rangers and Free French commandos included in the raiding force.
More on the raid here http://www.lonesentry.com/articles/ttt/commando-raid-varengeville-dieppe.html

Ah yes, the rangers were rather proud of the fact, being the first US forces to see action in europe.
